Thanks

Today's card is more "homework" from Online Card Class Clean and Simple 3.  I decided to try two techniques at once.  I opted to try Laura Bassen's Plaid Stamping technique and inlaid die cutting.

I achieved the plaid by masking off each section and used my Distress Inks and blending tool.  I have never been successful with the stamping version of the plaid technique, but I love the masking.  After getting all inky, I die cut the thanks out of my panel and again in white.  I inlaid the white back in my panel.  I took a white base and cut out the section to place my panel.  I adhered it all to some white typing paper and adhered the whole thing to my card base.  I stamped the rest of the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and viola! my card is finished.

Thanks for looking.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Hello

Good morning.  Welcome to my brand new blog.  After a long while of blog watching and card making, I finally decided to join the online world of sharing.  I plan on using my blog to share cards and paper arts that I create.  I am starting today with a card that I created as "homework" for an Online Card Class Clean and Simple 3.

I masked off the center of the card and stamped my background stamp across the card base.  I then colored the image with markers and my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  I drew a small line along the masked area on each side to make the white space more defined and added my sentiment.  I love this Kelly Purkey set.  It makes me smile.

Thank you for looking.  Have a wonderful day.
